The New....or Maybe not so New

I love seeing the suns rays filtering through the clouds and just had to take a picture of it coming home this evening. I know that the interstate is in there and kinda takes away from it and the picture isn't nearly as pretty as it was in person, but I thought in the end it turned out really nice. It had been raining pretty good, then the sun popped out and the rays were just beautiful so it warranted a picture.

Here are a couple more Day Care pictures that I thought were too cute not to post. She can reach the floor in the walker at her mamaws house so she is figuring out how to scoot around in backwards for now. She hasn't figured out how to move forward just yet, but she's happy in it knowing she can move herself around a bit. She still has quiet a bit of growing to do before she can reach the floor in her car walker, but the tips of her toes can reach if she stretches really good so it won't be long. Boy the dogs are gonna be in for it once she masters this! And just wait till she can crawl! Run Biggie Schmall run! I believe it will be time to break out the baby gates soon enough.

Look how content she is in these photos of tummy time at Day Care! This is just so exciting to me seeing as how she does NOT like to be on her tummy. She has now flipped over from her back to her tummy a few times and I believe from her tummy to her back once. I've not had the chance to see her do this yet, but have walked in the room and found her on her tummy in her cradle just a jabbering away. She was sure ready to be up from there. It's all exciting and at the same time kind of sad because slowly but surely the infancy is slipping away with each day. She is getting more independent, but still loves to be hugged and cuddled alot. I am thankful for that. She's now the big 5 months old!

Our little Peach is doing more and more with each passing day. She just gets stronger and stronger. We are so thankful that she is coming along so well. She loves sitting in her spot on the couch...still needing a little support to hold her up now and then, but she is really making progress. If only I could post sound clips on here you could hear her jabbering away in these pictures. She loves to make silly sounds and then look at you real quick to see what you think of them as well. She is such a blessing. No matter how rough the day has been, she always brings a smile to my face at the end of the day.

I just thought these were cute pictures so I wanted to post them. She is playing on her sit-n-spin and then swinging in her swing. Her mamaw says she really enjoys playing her on sit-n-spin. I haven't got to see her on that yet, but in the pictures she looks like she's really enjoying it. She likes her swing pretty good too. She finally realized that there were a cat and dog hanging from it so now she enjoys knocking them all around and usually back over the netting to where she can't see them any more. She's really getting good hand and eye coordination. I could just squeeze her up. She's so huggable.

Here, Miranda is hard at "work" playing with some of the toys at her Mamaw's house. She gets such a determined look on her face when she is trying intently to figure something out. I just love that look. In the second picture, she absolutely loves that silly sun. She will look at it until her attention span runs out and it lasts a pretty good time when she sees that sun. She's also got a toy here with the same silly sun on it and it's one of her fav's to watch.

Well, the tummy time is getting better and better. It's still her least favorate thing to do, but she is getting a little better at it each time. One day at day care (aka her mamaws house), she almost turned over on to her stomach until she realized where that would put her and she quickly corrected herself. That was one thing she didn't want to do. So this one will be a little later coming. She is getting good tummy time each day along with so many other things, like song story books, books with different textures for her to feel, music and dance, walks outside to see all kinds of trees and flowers, plus someone that loves her more than anyone at any other day care could. Thank you mom! I hope you know that we sure appreciate you and all your hard work. You are definately a bright spot in Miranda's life as you can tell when she first sees you every day and gives you one of the biggest smiles she's got. We love you.

Our pretty little girl is growing up on us quick. She's now 21 weeks old and on her way to the 5 month old mark this weekend. She's still such a baby, but she's surpassed the infant stage already. It's so hard to believe. She grows more and more alert every day. It seems any little thing catches her eyes....or her ears. Yesterday it had rained. When the wind blew some water fell on the roof of the building where the 4 wheelers are kept. She was about to go nuts trying to find the source of that sound. It's so cute seeing her try to figure things out. Soon enough she'll be asking..."what's that?"

Well, as I've mentioned, it's hard to catch Miranda in a smile when the camera comes out these days. If she sees it, the smile disappears. I sure wish I could read her little mind and knew what she was thinking. She was smiling and carrying on before she saw it...so we will just keep working with it and before long she will be posing for it.

Aren't these two of the most precious little girls you've ever seen?! Miranda's cousin, Morgan, got to come and visit for a week. Mom and I took the girls down to the ranch for a little country fun. Miranda is either used to all of the goings on out there or she's just not old enough yet to really care, but Morgan had a blast. She was amazed by the horses, enjoyed the dogs, but I think she loved the 4 wheeler riding most of all. She didn't want to get off the 4 wheeler. When we were fixing to get all of the things together to come back to town, I took her off one wheeler, turned to get the key out and she was climbing up on another one. She wasn't quiet ready for that part to end. She also seemed amazed by our big tractor so I put her up on it and her hands went right to the steering wheel like she was ready to take off. I think that she needs to come lend us a hand a couple of weeks out of the summer. I believe she's ready to get goin on it. I was able to get a few pics of them out there but for the most part just enjoyed watching them. They kept us pretty busy so there wasn't much time for snapping away with a camera. They were a delight and hopefully will get to enjoy each others company more and more. We sure miss you Morgan!!

Miranda likes to play Patty Cake. She likes to try to "sing" it with me from time to time. That is what she was doing in this pic. I can't wait until she starts doing the Itsy Bitsy Spider. She is such a bright light in our lives.

Anyone wanna guess whose idea this was? Yep, camo hat = Dad's fun. She actually didn't mind wearing his hat. I guess she knew she looked like a little "dear"

Our beautiful little angel got a great 4 month old check up. She weighed in at 14.12. She was able to start on vegetables and cereal and juice. She did not like the cereal at all and doesn't really care for the juice either. She really seems to love the veggies though...which I suppose is a good thing since I'm a non-veggie person myself. She must get the veggie lovin from her daddy. As long as she's happy and healthy, I couldn't be happier that she loves them. Her first to try was green beans and I think that may be her fav. She did make some funny faces when she tried squash, but she ate it up. These pictures of her were taken and there were many. She knows when a camera is around and the smile will disappear as though she knows that the bright light is fixing to show up. She is so much fun to dress up. She loves to pull up the bottom of her dress and put it in her mouth...so it was tough to get some pics of her with her dress down. She's such a sweet baby girl.

Ok, time to do a little catching up. We've been so busy lately that I've not had time to stop and post any pics. But that sure hasn't stopped us from taking them! Miranda is doing great and growing up right before our eyes. She seems to do more and advance each and every day. Now everything catches her eye....and she wants to reach for anything that she spots(as you can tell in the pic above). It won't be long and she will be the one wanting to take the pictures.
