The New....or Maybe not so New

This was Miranda's happiest part of the trip. She loved the petting zoo. She had the best time. We were worried that she wasn't going to wake up for any of it, but just about the time we were wrapping it up, she woke up and had the time of her life. She enjoyed watching the wolf and the cougars, but the goats were her fav's. She petted them, laughed at them and even sat on their backs.

These pics were of us up on the Hot Springs Mountain look out tower. She absolutely loved looking over the edge, out the window. She didn't want to turn loose of the rail. Each time we would move her away from it, she would do her best to get back at it. I guess she was thinking, "wow...look at all those people tinnier than me!" Ok, so I know she probably didn't see the people, but she did love looking out at whatever she could see.

These pictures were taken of her crawling around in the baby room at the Mid-America Museum. She had a wonderful time at the museum it seemed. She really had herself a blast once we made it in this room. She loved the bright colorful carpet and the beach ball that she chased after for a while. Anyone know where we could find a carpet like this?

We recently took a trip to Hot Springs. It was Miranda's first real trip. She seemed to enjoy herself throughly. The next couple of posts will be pictures from our trip. She was such a delight and really loved seeing the new things.

Miranda's Uncle Quintin was able to come in town for a visit. He lives in Texas and it's hard for him to get a chance to come and visit so we were so happy to see him. Miranda ended up going right to him even though this was her first time to see him. That is amazing for her since she's going through that rather clingy stage when it comes to strangers. She put on her charm and wanted to hold his fingers while she "walked" everywhere. We hope he's able to come again soon.

Here's Miranda with two of her favorite things. She loves to play with the dogs and they love to come see her, then get out of dodge. So I had to post pictures of the split second that Sierra and Schmall come to say their quick hello before they run off, leaving Miranda with their pulled out hair in her sweet little hands.

My little princess all dressed up and doing her version of a wave. Still pictures can only catch so much. I wish the entire wave was captured. It's the cutest thing to watch her wave.

Here's my little blueberry having herself a wonderful time in her swimming pool. She loves to splash around in the water. She even likes to sit in it even if there is no water. She still imagines herself splashing all around. She's such an easy going baby. She can make anything fun.

Here's a couple of pics of Miranda at her "day care" playing with some of her toys and her beloved slide. She really seems to enjoy being on the slide, but really gets a kick out of watching other things slide down it. Like one of her toys. She will laugh and giggle about that and try to put it up there again for it to slide down. Watch out Biggie Schmall, you are next! hahah

I had to get some pictures of my little angel sound asleep in her own bed that seems so huge when she's in it. She curls up in the tinniest little ball and will usually work her way into the very corner of the bed as close to the rails as she can get. I don't know if she just feels better up against something or what, but she is never where we put her when we lay her down. I never know where I may find her curled up the next time I go in to check on her.

Miranda is full of expressions. You do not have to wonder what she is feeling or how she is feelings. All you have to do is look at her pretty little face to see the delight when she is happy and the open mouth and wide eyes when she's excited. She is so sweet. I am so glad she's my little girl.

Here's Miranda sporting yet another hat. She's finally getting to where she doesn't mind us putting a hat on her. She still does not tollerate shoes though. Maybe that will come in time. But I have a feeling that she will wear them when she has to, then off they will come. But who knows, she may end up collecting shoes and hats both.

Miranda tried on the big Sombrero. It is very heavy, so that accounts for her tiny head leaning to the side when she had it on. Oh, but she loved wearing it. She laughed and giggled and when I would take it off of her, she would turn around and pull it back on her head. So after it was all over, I had to get a picture of her daddy wearing it and of course, The Schmall had to be in on it as well. We put it on her too, but it looked like the hat was just lying on the floor and would just move from place to place. Would have made a cute video though. Don't they look like they were having a wonderful time. Almost looks like they all posed for the picture. Too fun~
